Ok so I have overdyed with a very diluted black which has muted the colours but only ever so slightly. The top picture shows how it looks without the overdye.
Its only just finished cooking so stll in the clingfilm...

i presumed you were going to sort of 'double' dye it to make it REALLY bright iykwim lol
Yes its overdyed with black so the colours are darker. I was a little worried about how it would work but the solution made the rainbow more boyish rather than a lovely bright girly rainbow.
