Hospital

I spent the morning in hospital this morning as I have injured my shoulder. Its proved difficult me finishing my current longies as the tablets make me so drowsy. Anyway they should definately be in the post tomorrow. I have to do the waist tie and the cuff on one leg. Progress pic below.

I am a little concerned these haven't worked out as you hoped. Can you email me and let me know?

Drying

Please pray it doesn't felt..lol

cooked

Tester skein for overdye

Ok so I have overdyed with a very diluted black which has muted the colours but only ever so slightly. The top picture shows how it looks without the overdye.

Its only just finished cooking so stll in the clingfilm...

Haze colourway

Purple pink and turquoise - obv not those exact colours ;-P

This should work up lovely - done a haphazard version for the trim - so same colours worked differently.
Can't wait for it to dry.

Fingers crossed it doesn't felt cos Idon't have much luck with BFL.

Further pics

I just can't seem to capture the true colours...grrr Ok click on the picture it shows it much better.

Blue Grey dry

Ready for re-skeining

Wool for Rox

Ok - although I used more purple than the other 2 colours, because the 2 colours are so vibrant it looks like there is less purple than there is. I can do more with more purple and less of the other colours if you want.
Hmm need a better picture I think.....

New from the dye pot

I haven't done it for anyone, I was crocheting Mia's shorties and suddenly thought oooo blue and grey would be lovely. So heres what came from the dye pot today.

I have done blue for the trim, its drying now so a bit lighter...but looks lovely.

yey finished

I did the waist tie this morning...I love them I have to say.

Mia's Shorties

I hand dyed the wool myself. They've taken about a week to do with custom orders so not too bad. This is just the view from the back. I wanted the butterfly to be more 3d than 2d, not sure how it will hold up with a crawling baby, so I may yet end up sewing it down. Hope not though!

Dyed and Lanolised

Custom Skirtie for Jana

Lexie is one on the 21st July so this is a very special custom and I feel honoured to be making it.

After quite a few MSN convesations, jana decided on the colours. It took two different dyeing techniques but it came out beautifully.

Then the contrasting trim. The wool is still wet in these photos so the yellow is much more beautiful in Real life.

Katies Shorties

Well they are not Katie's but for Lal.
Pixie knits wool with my own wool dyed to match for the trim.
