OK Karen - Time to pick

Ok so exactly the same solution was used for all 3. Cooked in different ways for 3 different effects

Picture 1. Picture 2 - only a dash of brown more reddy
Picture 3. Dark brown and navy blue with dark purple.

More wool

The brown turned a russet red where it met with the purple. Looks fab. I love this colourway.

Ok so here is the next lot, the same batch of dye different amounts of colour on the skein and cooked for a lot longer to try to get the brown a little darker - we still got a russet colour in there. This just shows how reactive on unreactive dye can be on wool. The wool was also soaked overnight in fixer to try to get a better fix on the darker colours.

Going to dye more similar colours in a different way again. as I am just loving this colour combination.

Previews

Karens test skein. This has been kettle dyed. it gives the wool a more random effect than handpainting. The brief was purple, brown and orange. Its now drying, so once dried will be reskeined.
