Skirt is finished..what a learning curve!

This has been a real learning curve for me. My Great Grandma taught me to knit when I was 8 ish. I stopped knitting when I discovered crochet. I first picked up my knitting needles again when I was expecting Mia, so just over 2 years ago. Through that time I have (with the help of some wonderful people) re-learned how to follow patterns and some techniques and even learned some new ones. I am very proud of this skirt. It has helped me rediscover my love of knitting - so thankyou Carolyn ;D

I really try to make every skirt i do different from the last. This skirt encorporates a diagonal stitch. Ive not used this stitch in my skirts before so hope you like it. The wool is beautiful and the colours go together so well. I am sure it will look stunning once the contrasting trim is on the bottom. x

Knitted skirtie

This is done in babylonglegs radiance 'Amethyst'. Not far off splitting for the back of the soaker and getting it ready to put the skirt on. Once Ive split for the back I'll be putting it away for a couple of days to do a custom soakerless skirt, then back to this skirtie.

This yarn is just so beautiful and so different.

Pixie Knits set
